Non parametric ANCOVA

I have a dataset with independent variables that are mostly non-normal or its residuals are non-normal. Can anyone tell me the best commands to do non-parametric ANCOVA and parametric and non-parametric t-test adjusted for a covariable?

I know that the package fANCOVA and nspm are used in these situations, but are kind of difficult to work. As anyone has already used these packages ?
