Permission Error due to M1 Mac configuration

Hello,

I've seen several posts regarding this issue. I have a mac M1 and I am having problems with permissions.

  1. I am unable to change the appearance of my IDE.
  2. I am unable to create R projects.

In most posts I've seen that there is something specifically I have to change in my .config file however, I don't seem to find it in my Mac M1. I do believe the installation has been set properly but is there a step-by-step process to solve this issue as it seems it is a common problem for all M1 Mac users?

Could you please help me fix the permissions error?

Wanted to share the solution with others as I was able to solve it yesterday. The issue lies in that the Rexec file does not have administrative permissions.
