R Studio Package Manager - query at particular date

Hi,

I was wondering whether there is a canonical way to query the available snapshot dates/times for the public version of rstudio package manager. At the moment their API just uses incremental numbering (think MRAN).

Hi @Kevin,

Can you say a little more about what you would want to be able to do here? I don't think this is available at the moment, but maybe I can suggest something if I understand the use case better.

Hey,

there is currently a discussion ongoing about whether and if so, how, the new binaries could be used to speed up R builds for repo2ocker.

It's a bit unfortunate that the build intervals are not quite aligned with MRAN but it could already turn out extremely handy.
