Hadoop is a big stack of several technologies to access it. (HDFS, IMPALA, HIVE, SPARK, ...)
Depending on what you want to do the answer is different.

i want to integrate with HIVE or Spark
You should take a look at https://spark.rstudio.com/
and https://db.rstudio.com/databases/hive/
That will be a great way to begin with.
