RStudio interface frozen

Hi everyone,

I'm working with R Markdown files in RStudio and when I reopened my RStudio, it shows my markdown files, but the interface is entirely frozen.

I have RStudio for Mac and so I am able to access all of the tabs above, but if it is something that should be opened in another window, for example the Preferences window, it won't appear. I can't do anything within the interface - no scrolling, typing, etc. It's completely unresponsive. I've tried restarting my computer, uninstalling and reinstalling RStudio. Those haven't helped.

Any assistance would be much appreciated!
