Rstudio server and Shiny server open source versions both were taking unsecured path( http path) even when the parent domain is ssl certified ,how to keep both rstudio server and shiny server open source versions on secured https path when the the hosting domain itself is ssl certified.

The open source versions of RStudio server and shiny server do not support SSL directly. You can either use the Pro versions or use a reverse proxy in front of the open source versions. In the latter case you also have to make sure that the servers listen to local connections only or that a firewall blocks all incoming connections to the ports 3838 and 8787.
