It is currently not possible to install RStudio on our remove server. So is there a way to change the working directory to a remote FTP Server instead, to avoid having all files saved twice?
This will depend on your OS and access rights.
Server version of RStudion runs on Linux, and Linux has very good support for setting links to remote directories. My favorite way to achieve this is via the SSHFS command.
