Shiny behind soft/hard paywall

Do you know of any resources I should consult for creating a Shiny app behind either a soft or a hard paywall?

  • I'm thinking that shinyapps.io can support this but only after an admin has verified a paid subscriber and the admin has created an appropriate user account. Or can this be auto-handled through some sort of an e-commerce plugin?

  • Maybe the paywall is established via something like Squarespace which does the actual hosting of the Shiny app?

This is neither a shiny problem specifically not an R problem generally. This is a web development problem.

You will almost certainly have better luck finding an answer in a more general forum like StackOverflow.
