strange behavior upon saving script file: file automatically sourced

I haven't seen this behavior before: I have a file that I use to record the code I cover in lectures, and so I update it after every class. Recently, when I save the modified file, the file is sourced automatically, which produces a stream of output in the console since the file is relatively long. I've only seen this behavior with this particular file -- saving other script files just saves them, and doesn't trigger a source.

What might be going on, and how might I control this behavior? (I'm using version 1.2.1578, build 1439.)

Is the Source on Save option selected in the toolbar above the script?
